Residents rotate through subspecialty areas for four-week blocks during their first 24 months of training. The last 12 months are spent in subspecialty areas. Residents are taught in each area by faculty who are experts in their fields. Many of the faculty members spend the majority of their time in subspecialty clinical areas, supervising and teaching residents. For each rotation, residents receive in-depth performance and cognitive objectives to aid in the learning process. Evaluation is based on meeting these objectives as they progress through the rotation.
