PGY-2 (CA-1) Core anesthesia rotations $2500 educational stipend

After successfully completing the program, graduates will be offered a 1-year faculty appointment with protected time to pursue either original research or postgraduate training in clinical research. Graduates may delay this appointment to pursue a clinical fellowship. Trainees are not required to join the faculty of this department by participating in this program.

Supplementary financial support is provided in addition to the salary and educational stipend that are paid to all residents in the department.

If you are interested in this program, we ask that you send us a brief supplemental personal statement describing your future career plans addressing research interests and goals. We ask that you submit your supplemental personal statement by February 1st. The Scholarship Oversight Committee will notify you of acceptance into the program by February 15th. When filling out your match list, you would ideally list both our categorical four-year program (1353040C0) and advanced three-year program (1350340A0) with the NRMP.

We feel fortunate to be one of the few anesthesiology departments in the country to offer this opportunity to qualified residency applicants. Please feel free to contact us for more information regarding our Scholars Program at (314) 362-6978 or coxt@anest.wustl.edu.
