Residents continue with four-week rotations in the various subspecialty areas and are given more challenging clinical assignments. In addition, there are rotations in Pain Management, Post-Anesthesia Recovery, Pre-Anesthesia Evaluation, Critical Care, and Transplantation Surgery. Though closely supervised by faculty that are experts in each of these subspecialty areas, residents are given increased responsibility and independence during the CA-2 year.
